Great for my first GPS
This was my first GPS, as I got a great deal I wasn't going to complain. The TomTom is really easy to set up and use. The voice is easy to hear, as long as you don't "crank" your radio. The only downfall I find is if I go off the beat path, the first thing it does is try to get you back on it, and living in a crowded surburban area, most of the time I do that to avoid traffic.

Good and an excellent tool for the traveler
Over the last year I have used my Tom-Tom to travel over 5000 miles in my motor home. It is an excellent tool to travel the road the only thing it could not do was lower the gas prices. I wish it had a bigger screen but for the money it is an excellent buy and I love the British accent

Volume
I like almost everything about this device. It's small enough to carry. I purchased a specific car holder device (extra but worth it) which very much adds to the convenience. The one flaw is that I can barely hear the instructions. This is expecially true when I have the radio on.

Very Smart GPS
I have owned a TomTom One for almost a year and I recommend it to everyone. In fact, I loaned mine to my son who recently drove across country from Sacramento to Washington DC. He and my daughter (who came with him) loved it so much that he just got one for himself. He is living in a new urban area that he is not familiar with and finds it invaluable. My daughter was so impressed that she is getting one too. One interesting little adventure that the TomTom took them on was coming into the west side of Indianapolis on I-70. The TomTom took them on a shortcut on a major surface street that saved them about 20 miles! They called me and asked me what it was doing and when I went online, I immediately understood the logic of what was happening.

Simply Easy
My 75 year old Father frequently uses my TomTom One. Whether it is to go on trip to another State, or somewhere he simply isn't familiar with he has no problem with the interface. I use the TomTom when traveling to Air Force Bases. With the easily downloaded information, each one is preloaded on the TomTom.
