Terrific case! Can't beat the price!
I bought my first PDA, a Sony Clie S360, about a month and a half ago. When I started using it and carrying it everywhere with me, I figured I'd need a case to protect it.
At first, I wasn't quite sure what kind of case I wanted but I knew I would want something that enclosed my PDA completely and protect it from the bumps and dings of daily life. I was also looking for something reasonably priced. I don't do a lot of sports/outdoors activities so I wasn't looking for a sport case.
There aren't a lot of accessories for the S360 to begin with.
I looked everywhere online and at major retailers but didn't find anything I liked. Similar cases at other stores cost several times more.
Then I happened upon the Sumdex case here.
The pictures really helped and the price was good, so I thought I'd get one and see how it goes. When I opened my package, I was really surprised at how good the quality is.
The case is made of smooth, slightly textured black leather and there wasn't a single out-of-place stitch anywhere. The corners are nicely rounded and the leather is lightly padded. The pockets are great for keeping loose pieces of paper. I don't need the elastic bands to hold batteries, but they are small enough to hold an extra stylus and keep it in place. And even with the stylus in the silo, I can get it out easily.
The case also has stiff inserts in the front and back so it keeps its shape. It also has enough room to fit my PDA with the flip cover on. It's a snug, but not-tight fit. The case is just a little bigger than the PDA itself, giving the zipper room to move comfortably. However, it doesn't add much bulk to the PDA.
The velcro piece that sticks to the PDA is small enough that it doesn't cover up the reset button or the serial number, but is still very strong and keeps the PDA securely attached.
I've been using this case for a few weeks now and it's held up very well.

Sumdex leather "wallet" case
This is an extremely nice zippered-case. The leather is extraordinarily high quality...surprisingly smooth. My Visor Deluxe fits inside it perfectly. Snug, but not too tight. I installed my Visor Deluxe in it backwards, using the Visor's front protective plastic cover as the VELCRO mounting point. This way, the BACK of the Visor is exposed when you upzip the Sumdex (most protected). Then, all you have to do is unlock the Visor from its VELCRO-mounted front cover (I used two pieces of VELCRO to mount the Visor's front cover to the Sumdex, by the way). The neat part about the Visor in this configuration is that all you have to do is unzip the Sumdex case, unsnap the Visor from its VELCRO-mounted front cover, then snap the Visor back into its cover, with the FACE of the Visor up. On the other hand, you may choose to store the Visor with its face exposed inside the Sumdex; that's no problem at all. However, it is better protected if you can remember to place the Visor with its back side facing up when you're done with it.
I have dropped my Visor Deluxe at least 10-times while stored inside the Sumdex; half of the time with the Visor's face up. Furthermore, most of the drops were onto a concete surface. No damage to my Visor Deluxe in the Sumdex case. The folks at Sumdex installed some sort of rigid protective film inbetween the exterior in and inner case store area. It's well designed.
I would rate this a nearly perfect case. And for the money - it is perfect! The only thing better would be if the Sumdex zip case had a belt clip (of some sort), because if you use it, it needs to be ready, or holstered. However, it is quite small, and easily fits into loose fitting pockets, a flightsuit pocket, or a handbag. This makes it very accessible.
Viva' Sumdex...and Handspring!
I've used this Sumdex case for 2 years. No wear and tear at all. Very good deal for the money.

Great case for the Jornada 548
I use this case with my Jornada 548 with the flip-up cover still on.
The unit attaches to the case with a piece of Velcro but since the Jornada has its CompactFlash slot, toggle wheel, microphone record button, headphone socket, IR, and sync connectors on the sides of the unit you can leave the PDA in the case all the time if you'd like.
The only thing you can't do with the PDA attached to the case is set the unit in its cradle -- but if you happen to use the power cord and parallel sync cable you don't need the cradle. I use it both ways, in the cradle at home and in the case at work.
I also carry a few business cards in the card slots as well as a stylus/pen which fits in the elastic loops along the spine. It's a snug fit but the case zips up without a problem and creates a nice sturdy compact bundle.
Make sure your PDA doesn't require access or attachments to the back. Also, if you use your IR you'll want to make sure that your IR reader/transmitter is on the top, bottom or right side of your PDA otherwise you'll be beaming into the spine of the case. Watch out for interference from the zipper, too.
All in all, a great case for my Jornada 548.

Good, but not for me (and you, may be)
When I looked at this case on this site and on the manufacturer's site I really liked it. It has everything I sought except one thing - it is too small to accomodate my Pocket PC (Cassiopeia E-125). It fits too tight to put anything else but the PPC inside, and all these handy pockets become unusable. Otherwise it is great item and if you have a device smaller than 3.25"x5"x0.75" you will enjoy this case to the maximum extent possible.
