Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great Value
The unit was repacked but immaculate. It provides an excellent picture when hooked to an HD source. The picture is a bit disappointing when it is not HD. I would definetly make this purchase again. I also own a sony bravia that is fantastic. I would however, purchase the Samsung instead for the difference in price.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great TV for Reasonable Price
I have been enjoying this TV for about 3 weeks now, and I am pleased with its clarity and looks. It provides a great picture for DVDs, TV, and (to the extent possible) videotapes. It arrived, through the auspices of Amazon, from Adorama, who phoned me before delivery to set up a meeting time and then actually showed up on time. Great service, great TV, fabulous picture quality, good price.

Excellent TV. Also excellent delivery service. The delivery came early and the delivery man unpacked the box and allowed me to inspect the TV. He then set it on the stand for me. I am extremely please with the TV and the service from amazon. I plan to buy more items from Amazon. Al

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great TV
I picked this tv model over it's newer ones specifically because of the matte finish that the screen has. I have this tv in a room with a double sliding glass door directly across from it. While I won't say there is not any glare when it is bright outside, there is less glare then any TV I have ever owned.

Not only that, but the picture quality is wonderful. The sound is about the same as you will find on any TV. Meaning if you like to watch movies and sports you are probably going to be buying a receiver to pair up with this, so you don't really care about the sound. I'm online right now buying the HT-S7100 from onkyo.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - I'm enjoying it
I'm new to HD Tvs and I must say that the decision to go with Samsung has paid off. It has also been possible only thru the reviews that I read here. I love the product and thanks to all the reviews that helped me make this decision. I would recommend this TV any day.

Massachusetts expands trial of train-Fi: The state's train authority will spend $1.4m to expand a trial program for Wi-Fi on certain state commuter lines to all 258 coaches. The program's formal launch is Wednesday. The annual cost is estimated at $300,000, but the authority didn't try to estimate savings or other expenses involved in shifting people from cars to trains as a result of the service.

Skyhook says 300 iPhone apps access location: Location guru Brady Forrest breaks down the data about how many iPhone applications are aware of their surroundings. No numbers here about the number of queries per day Skyhook is handling from iPhones, which we would all love to know, but is certainly proprietary to their deal with Apple. Forrest doesn't mention another interesting sidenote: Skyhook corrects their database of Wi-Fi locations with every query sent by an iPhone, which as a highly mobile device, must have a dramatic effect on extending and enhancing their routine truck-based scanning.

Ballooning costs, feature creep, vendor lock-in and just plain bad technology have contributed to some of IT's most spectacular project failures. Here's what we can learn from past mistakes.

Nick Bradbury just had a tumor removed from his head. Glad to hear he's doing well:

The fact that I'm able to type this blog entry less than a week after the operation has me hopeful that recovery will be quicker than I was led to believe, but it will still be a few weeks before I'm able to really tackle any serious work.
