Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Samsung Surround Sound
We are very satisfied with this product, after comparing Boze prices and quality. Low price, sound is great, smart idea.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - First Ever Serious Home Theater
Samsung HT-X50 5.1-Channel 5-Disc DVD Home Theater System
Coupled with my Sony HDTV and Blu-Ray, I have created a small theater that is as good as it gets. I am using the Toslink connect for both Comcast HDTV and Blu-Ray. Though I'd like a little more sound-molding capability, the price makes this a choice I'm pleased with.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - center channel speaker problem
love the system my only complaint is the center speaker would make a vibration sound, never could fix it traded out with old surrond sound speaker no problems

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Good Buy
I purchased this machine soley for playing CDs in our bedroom. It's a great machine for that. The 5 speakers (plus the woofer) are sufficient for all the volume you could want. It sounds good. I ordered the remote wireless speaker module to put the rear speakers on our headboard, but it didn't work. Also, one of the remote speaker units (each speaker unit has 3 smaller speakers in it) had a speaker that was bad. The quality control apparently isn't to good. I guess companies now days would rather put up with poorer quality from China than pay a little more and keep jobs here. I will say however, Samsung had good customer service. IT WAS in the U.S. (I could understand them), they seemed to have ample help, and they got me a replacement speaker here in about a week. They did everything they could do to try to get the remote unit working, but it didn't. They wanted me to pack everything up and send it all back for "system evaluation". I didn't want to go thru all that hassle, and the changer worked fine, so I just sent the remote unit back for credit. Amazon gave me credit (20% restocking), and I just hard wired the rear speakers. The only control it doesn't have is a bass/treble adjustment. There is a fader/balance control from the remote, plus an individual speaker volume adjustment. The system was quit easy to set up (all color coded) and I would purchase the unit again.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - waste of money
Worked fine for two days then started getting disk error. Tried CDs, DVDs etc. none worked but they all worked fine in my old dvd player. I returned and currently rethinking what I should buy as replacement.
