Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - DVD gets stuck
Dont BUY.

I bought this product a month back from amazon reseller. Audio (CD/mp3) works fine. But it cannot play DVDs very well. Every 2 to 3 mins it is stuck reading the DVD.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Actually Not a Bad Little Unit !!
I've owned this for about a month now. I bought it for our bedroom, to connect to the Philips HDTV. While the subwoofer does not rattle the walls, the sound is actually pretty decent for size/price. It includes AM/FM radio, plus clock radio features -- how cool is that. The rosewood laminate is well done, and the unit has some weight too. For a bedroom or home office, where you don't care about true Dolby 5.1, and don't want to run a bunch of wires around, this is a pretty cool setup. And as I said before, the clock-radio feature is kinda like gravy. I will tell you that you can buy this for $110, if you are a member of Sam's Club. Power buys are the greatest. Amazon is good about pricing on most things, but sometimes they get beat pretty bad. Buy this little beast at Sam's if you can. This is a progressive scan DVD drive, so it will do great on HDTV, and it includes Dolby Digital.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Small Package, Big Sound
The MCD703 by far is the smallest system, with an integrated DVD that my wife and me were able to find. It is small and by no means it's not a portable boombox or sounds like one. This system combines well with our LCD screen in our room. Easy to use, it delivers great quality audio and very nice DVD video. This little stereo quickly feels the room and make you feel in the midle of the action. The Sub provides a solid bass sound. I'll defenetively recomend the MCD703.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - worst product ever
I had gotten this system as a gift, i set it up and the sound was muffled. I coudlnt fix that, so i figured id return exchange it for another so i did. Same exact problem.. and the philips customer service his horrible. DO NOT BUY THIS!

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Like your sound? Look elsewhere!
I received this stereo as a replacement for a very old Panasonic micro system. I run an Internet radio station, so I use my desktop stereo constantly. This stereo came with a partially-functional remote, so you can't access any menus or control the setup. Don't EVER lose or break the remote or the stereo is useless.

This stereo has a very strange automatic level control built in. I could find no way to turn off this "feature". It processes all audio going through it (even CD) and adds WAY too much stereo compression (apparently in an attempt to make DVDs sound like they are playing on a larger system). This makes for a terrible sounding unit that makes every music source sound like boomy analog FM radio.

This stereo looks fantastic, but if you like your stereo to actually sound good, do NOT purchase this unit.
