Customer Reviews
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Good decision
This system is well worth the price. We have had the system for over a month and the range, clarity and volume are far more than adequate for our needs. The ability to have each handset have a different ring is entertaining because when the phone rings it sounds like a clock shop at the top of an hour. The menu navigation is a little tricky, but certainly not enough of an issue to change our opinion of the system.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - I love these phones!
My phones just came today, but after they were set up, there was enough charge in them to try them out. First, they have great reception and are easy to use. I have cable telephone service and there is no conflict. I haven't read the book yet, so haven't set up any of the special features. I am disabled and especially like the pager and intercom since I often need help, and it is so nice to just press the button to talk to another room. The price was very reasonable, so it will be no problem to order another if needed. Thanks again. Follow up: After I got all the features set up, I was even more impressed with this phone. I programmed all 50 names in the first phonebook, and it was so easy to automatically transfer all 50 to the other two phones, one phone at a time. The next day I ordered another handset with charger, charged it up, easily registered it to the base, and auto sent the phonebook. So easy to follow the instructions. Very happy with purchases.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - This is my second set of Panasonic phones that doesn't work
I've long relied on Panasonic phones, but the last two sets (within a year!) have been a complete bust. This one just drops out calls all the time! I will have to switch to a new system--these just aren't reliable anymore. I don't know what's happened to their quality control.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Excellent Value - Eazy to Use
Easy to set-up. Easy to use. Rechargeable AAA batteries are easier and more economical to replace than the specialized batteries that are used in many competitive phones.

My only suggestion for an improvement is that the highest volume setting could be one setting higher for the hearing impaired.

This is an excellent product at an excellent price.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great phones
These phones are great! I have no interference, can walk all over my house, and find these phones easy to use. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a quality phone at a great price.

I've heard it said by Dave Winer and many many others: if only Dean had reinvested half the money raised into the Internet, then ...

OK, so you're the Dean Campaign Chief Information Officer in August 2003. The money starts to roll in. $20 million over six months, $2-4 million per month.

What would you spend the money on?

  1. What does your monthly budget look like?
  2. What is your application and infrastructure portfolio?
  3. How much will you allocate to maintenance?
  4. You're building from scratch, so what problems do you hope to avoid through wise architecture?
  5. What are your big milestones?
  6. Who are your key vendors?

How do you spend in consonance with the campaign strategy?

  1. How will you use the Internet to bring offline voters into the campaign at the same numbers as radio or television broadcasts?
  2. What is your online strategy for responding to attack ads and opposition pundits in radio, television and print?
  3. Online community takes time to build and is very hard to organize geographically. What will you do to match the state-by-state primary schedule?
  4. What can you do with online services to serve the campaign in caucus states?
  5. You are preparing for Bush to launch in Spring 2004. What are your countermeasures to reach out to moderate Republicans online while the GOP uses its advanced voter email systems to barrage 200 million validated email addresses?
  6. How will you lower the cost-per-vote vs. the GOP?
