Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - great little speaker
Used for research in Costa Rica. Works great, long lasting battery and charges quickly, sound is pretty good and worked no problem in the rain and very humid conditions.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - I love this speaker!
It's so cute! (Because cute is the most important part, right?) It's the size of a phone and opens and shuts just like a phone. I've had it for a month or so and it's the perfect speaker for my Zune while I'm at work. I haven't had any problems with sound or volume, and it holds its charge very well!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Nice
I have an older laptop, and one of the speakers blew. The laptop speakers weren't very loud to begin with anyway. I wanted something portable, small, and one unit. This fit the bill. Not only does the internal rechargeable battery last for 8+ hours, I can plug a usb cable into them from my laptop, and keep it charging, so it won't ever run out. The speakers sound great for what they are. Clear and smooth, and I haven't noticed them being "tinny" sounding. Now, they aren't base pumpers, but the base isn't bad. They are definitely much louder, and better sounding then the laptop speakers. I liked them so much I ordered another pair for my daughters portable DVD player, which has terrible speakers as well. The unit is also very well built, and comes with all the connecters you would need. Mine says Cingular on it, and since that company changed it's name back to AT&T, that's probably why I only paid 5 bucks for them. What a deal. If you need something portable that sounds pretty darn good, grab these, they're sweet.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Killer Deal
This product is odd to say the least.

It is listed under it's model number: MSP-100 LG Portable Stereo Speakers
as being $50. However, this particular product I am reviewing is identical in all respects and can be had for less than $10.

The speaker is roughly the size of a flip cell phone, contains an internal rechargeable battery, comes with a battery recharging cable, a felt pouch, and 2 audio jack cables (along with an adapter for cell phones).

Honestly, when I first received these speakers, I feared that I must have ordered the wrong product. I checked my purchases and it was listed as a $9.85 purchase (including shipping). As I said before these speakers look identical to the $50 product, and they behave like a $50 product. The sound quality is a little above average for a product of it's size. What's really impressive is how loud these speakers can get and still maintain good sound. These speakers can fill rooms with sound.

If anyone is interested in cheap portable speakers, I highly recommend that you buy these and quickly. These speakers are worth far more than their selling price.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great little speakers
Purchased this to supplement my Dell laptop's very inadequate speakers. Read all the reviews, needed something small, portable that would run off the computers power. This does all that, and I am very satisfied with it. I love that it folds up - like I said, I needed portable; and it works great with my ipod, too. No, it isn't the BEST sound, it's rather tinny, but I expected that. But in a room where the sound can disburse a bit, it's quite amazing, really. And for the price...it's a great buy.

The proposed acquisition of Macromedia by Adobe is not a done deal. Both companies are under the scrutiny of the SEC, and it must also be approved by stockholders. While Macromedia/Adobe gives this process three to nine months, some industry analysts feel that is being overly optimistic. But assuming that all is goes as planned, Macromedia will cease to exist. Everything will be in the Adobe name and with the Adobe interface.

Massachusetts expands trial of train-Fi: The state's train authority will spend $1.4m to expand a trial program for Wi-Fi on certain state commuter lines to all 258 coaches. The program's formal launch is Wednesday. The annual cost is estimated at $300,000, but the authority didn't try to estimate savings or other expenses involved in shifting people from cars to trains as a result of the service.

Skyhook says 300 iPhone apps access location: Location guru Brady Forrest breaks down the data about how many iPhone applications are aware of their surroundings. No numbers here about the number of queries per day Skyhook is handling from iPhones, which we would all love to know, but is certainly proprietary to their deal with Apple. Forrest doesn't mention another interesting sidenote: Skyhook corrects their database of Wi-Fi locations with every query sent by an iPhone, which as a highly mobile device, must have a dramatic effect on extending and enhancing their routine truck-based scanning.
