Customer Reviews
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great phone
This phone is ideal for your home or office. It is a 2 line phone that has cordless extension phones (this is the extention). Fantastic battery life!!!

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Great Audio Quality, Too Many Design Flaws
Although a lot of this has been said by others, I thought it important to weigh in. My previous system was a Panasonic TGX4000B that finally gave up the ghost. It was better designed and had more features, but poorer audio quality. Almost the reverse of this unit. I have been using this unit since May, so I am pretty used to its flaws and good points. Here are my peeves:

* You can't delete messages while you are listening to them. You have to go back and listen to them again to delete.

* Same problems deleting Caller ID displays. It is a 2-3 button process.

* As stated by others, you really cannot know when you are interrupting someone on the other line.

* Almost every phone I have used has a timer for the call. I just assumed there was one. Silly me. Makes billing clients a little more artistic.

* As stated by others, the outgoing message quality stinks.

OK... now that I have slammed the phone, it does have some positives:

* Apart from the outgoing message quality, the general audio quality I find to be excellent.

* I work between an office and a secretarial station. Not a great distance, but never a problem in carrying the handheld.

* The base unit is compact, and both units have easy-to-read displays

* The message indicator on the handheld unit is noticeable.

* Call conferencing was easy to use, but not because it was shown on the handheld.

* I've never had a battery problem on the handheld.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - GREEAAT PHONE
This is a great phone on a great system. Clear, noise free and perfect reception from start of conversation to finish.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Works throughout the house
System works fine and the ability to expand to more satellite units is a big plus

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Does what it's supposed to
This handset is comfortable to use and easy to link to the base station (though the code I had to enter fooled me for a minute, since it was supposed to be a numeric code, yet a pound sign (#) appeared in it). I like the feature of being able to name the stations so that it's easy to page one from another, knowing exactly where it's supposed to be.

This year has seen several young companies--including Orbius--offering to harness the power of social networking for business.

The proposed acquisition of Macromedia by Adobe is not a done deal. Both companies are under the scrutiny of the SEC, and it must also be approved by stockholders. While Macromedia/Adobe gives this process three to nine months, some industry analysts feel that is being overly optimistic. But assuming that all is goes as planned, Macromedia will cease to exist. Everything will be in the Adobe name and with the Adobe interface.

Virgin America formally launches: Last week, Virgin America offered free Wi-Fi on its single Internet-equipped aircraft, My Other Ride's a Spaceship. Today, the service goes commercial ($10 for flights 3 hours or shorter; $13 for longer flights), and the rollout to other planes begins. Virgin has a special URL--http://wifitracker.virginamerica.com/--that takes you to a tracking page showing which flights in progress have Wi-Fi, but they don't yet tell you how to determine whether a given flight you'll be on will offer the service. With 24 planes and a plan to add service one per week, that shouldn't be a problem for long.

Heathrow Airport Coach Link adds Internet service: Icomera, a leading transportation Wi-Fi firm, has added free Wi-Fi to FirstGroup's RailAir coach service that connects Heathrow Airport with Reading in England. RailAir runs every 20 minutes for a 50-minute route. FirstGroup handles 3 million passengers a day across all its routes, which makes it a plum market for future expansion.

Awareness Technologies adds Wi-Fi positioning for laptop recovery: Awareness is the latest firm to partner with Skyhook Wireless to use Wi-Fi positioning to its products, in this case Laptop Cop, software designed to aid in recovery. The software starts at $50 for a 1-year license, with discounts for quantity.

Climate change is hampering the long-term recovery of rivers from the effects of acid rain, with wet weather offsetting improvements, according to a new study.
