ASUS mini travels the world
We purchased our "mini" so we would have easier access to the internet for travel booking, email communication and GPS/mapping. Love the size. Love that they offer Windows format now in addition to Linux. It's a little slow so you have to be patient with it booting up or opening up a program. Don't like the left/right button at the bottom (actually it's only one button and I haven't figured out how to right click on anything with this or any other button yet). We're not "texters" so the small keys require special attention when typing . .we use the Hawaiian type . . "wak-a-ki" !! When you want to travel light (30 lbs or less) this baby is the way to go !

Handy but slow
This is a very compact, lightweight, and handy little PC when you need access to the internet on the go. Instead of taking my nearly 6 lb laptop, I took this on a couple of recent trips. My only major complaint is that it takes forever (relatively speaking)to access the internet. I get really impatient waiting for the pages to load. But it beats not having web access when you need it while you are travelling.

A bit slow,Keyboard crampted, but very, very handy and will go anywhere.Requries a few compermises but could not be a better tool for on the go. So happy to have usefull machine.Windows makes this easy to use.Battery could last longer but for most of my uses this has not yet been a problem.Would buy it again in a heartbeat.

love it, love it
Of my 3 laptops this is the one that travels with me. It slips into my purse! I switched apps to my own choices and it is up to the challenge. I upgraded it as recommended.

Great for vacation travel!
First bought the Linux version because XP takes up so much memory but after 3 hours of tech support from ATT U-verse and finally Asus, found out that Linux is not compatible with my 2Wire Gateway router. I returned it to Amazon and got a full refund (what service?!!!) and ordered a new baby 'puter with XP.
This is perfect for taking on vacation! It fits in a large purse or very small carry-on and is light weight. The keyboard is small so I resort to the 2 index finger hunt and peck method, which is fine in the short term. For $400 or less, it can't be beat!
