Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - 24" imac connection TO external display
This will connect iMacs' SCREEN DISPLAY ONLY from iMac to t.v. or external monitor. NOT AUDIO. First of three items needed.
1) THIS ITEM from iMac mini dvi port connected to........

2) IOGEAR GOLD-PLATED HDMI (F) to DVI-D DUAL LINK (M) ADAPTER (GHDMIFDVIM) . connected to.......

3) An HDMI TO HDMI cable. (This series of connections assumes that your t.v. or . external display you are trying to link HAS a HDMI input connection available)

4) Now to your external t.v. or monitors' HDMI connection

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Item Fine, Available Direct

FYI, as of this writing, you can get this directly from Apple for $19.00 + $4 S&H. A better deal than shown here.

Oh, and you'll probably need another cord for any practical use. I hooked it up w/ this Eforcity Black 2 Meter HDMI Male to DVI Male Cable and now can use my HDTV as a 2nd monitor. Very cool.

Don't know why Apple doesn't just build in a regular DVI output or include this adapter. (Maybe to make more money?)

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Apple M9321G/B Mini-DVI to DVI
This cable only provides Digital DVI and not Analog.
It should provide both.
The problem arises if one did not purchase a DVI-Digital ONLY cable, it will not plug in. Good thing a reviewer provided a picture of the DVI plug showing it will not accept a DVI (digital and analog) plug.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Good working adapter,but...
This Mini DVI to DVI adpater works well. It was purchased to connect my MacBook to a 23" Cinema Display. My only wish is that the adapter could be slightly longer. Otherwise works great.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Make sure you get the right cable!
This is a great product and is the best choice for connecting your MacBook or iMac to a digital screen. As other reviewers have stated, be careful which DVI cable you are getting. If you are connecting to an HDmi port, I recommend this cable: Cables Unlimited, HDmi To Dvi-d Cable, 6ft. I currently use both to connect my MacBook to my 46" 1080p TV and the quality retention of the digital signal is truly striking. Try Apple's QuickTime HD trailers if you're looking for a demo of the great picture quality. My only complaint is the relatively high price, but then again, there isn't anything else out there that fits the specifications. Remember, make sure the cable you're attaching is DVI-d and you'll save yourself some headache.

The proposed acquisition of Macromedia by Adobe is not a done deal. Both companies are under the scrutiny of the SEC, and it must also be approved by stockholders. While Macromedia/Adobe gives this process three to nine months, some industry analysts feel that is being overly optimistic. But assuming that all is goes as planned, Macromedia will cease to exist. Everything will be in the Adobe name and with the Adobe interface.
