Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Almost as good as an iPhone...
The Apple iPod Touch is a fantastic product, utilizing the new touch screen features that seem to wow the iPhone crowd. I received the new iPod Touch as a gift this August, and I have been using it everyday since. I use it to play my iTunes music, write my to-do list, sync my Outlook calendar and contacts, send and check e-mail, and browse the internet. However, I cannot make nor receive phone calls. That is the one function my iPod is missing, and I regret having to reach into my bag, pull out my cell phone, and put my iPod away.
I find my new gadget very easy to use and very reliable, but I find myself wishing for an iPhone instead. I would rather not have two gadgets when they could very easily be rolled into one. Also, I have found that I must pay $9.99 to download the new Apps Store from iTunes, while my iPhone-using friends can download it for free. So, to download the free applications that iTunes has to offer for my iPod, I must pay an initial set-up fee. This has deterred me from making the purchase. I am not that desperate to play games that I am willing to pay $10 for them. Another thing that deters me is the wireless internet situation. As a college student, I can secure wireless internet on my campus and in my house, but I cannot get it while walking down the street or while riding in the car. Since I am not using an AT&T service, I cannot utilize the Edge network, and that makes connectivity slightly frustrating. Connecting is also not automatic, so I must manually connect to a wireless network of choice before I can surf the Web or check my e-mail.
So, now that the holidays are fast approaching, I find myself hoping for an iPhone. I would gladly put my iPod Touch away to gain more convenience and connectivity.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Best Buy Ever
This is by far the best product I've ever bought in my life for its practicality, usefulness, and sleek design.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Amazing music player
Pro:
You can play music, video, games, or even go online. It is very fun and I own 8GB Ipod touch wish to have 16GB so i can store more files in it. I bring my itouch to wherever i go.

Cons:
the battery life seems very well in the beginning, it will slowly drain out of battery the more we use internet.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Worth every penny!
I have to say I thought I would just be putting on music videos and albums, but this is so much more than that. I use just about everything. The internet, the wheather, stocks,of course the Apps for all those free games, And since I'm a personal trainer I find the notes to be quite handy as I'm training. This thing is awsome!!

This year has seen several young companies--including Orbius--offering to harness the power of social networking for business.

The proposed acquisition of Macromedia by Adobe is not a done deal. Both companies are under the scrutiny of the SEC, and it must also be approved by stockholders. While Macromedia/Adobe gives this process three to nine months, some industry analysts feel that is being overly optimistic. But assuming that all is goes as planned, Macromedia will cease to exist. Everything will be in the Adobe name and with the Adobe interface.

Virgin America formally launches: Last week, Virgin America offered free Wi-Fi on its single Internet-equipped aircraft, My Other Ride's a Spaceship. Today, the service goes commercial ($10 for flights 3 hours or shorter; $13 for longer flights), and the rollout to other planes begins. Virgin has a special URL--http://wifitracker.virginamerica.com/--that takes you to a tracking page showing which flights in progress have Wi-Fi, but they don't yet tell you how to determine whether a given flight you'll be on will offer the service. With 24 planes and a plan to add service one per week, that shouldn't be a problem for long.

Heathrow Airport Coach Link adds Internet service: Icomera, a leading transportation Wi-Fi firm, has added free Wi-Fi to FirstGroup's RailAir coach service that connects Heathrow Airport with Reading in England. RailAir runs every 20 minutes for a 50-minute route. FirstGroup handles 3 million passengers a day across all its routes, which makes it a plum market for future expansion.

Awareness Technologies adds Wi-Fi positioning for laptop recovery: Awareness is the latest firm to partner with Skyhook Wireless to use Wi-Fi positioning to its products, in this case Laptop Cop, software designed to aid in recovery.
